Isle of Gold Banner

Isle of Gold is a recurring board game event available after completing campaign stage 7-40. The distant trumpets are sounding and the gold rush is coming! In this event, players will travel to a fertile archipelago to mine resources and claim their own territory.

How should you plan your construction when moving through the territory by grace of lady luck? Is it to mine the resources with all your strength to get rich rewards, or to build towers to defend against strong enemies, or to take risks and plunder others? Let's make some crazy money, Adventurers!

Guide[]

  • The Isle of Gold event will run for a total of 14 days. Players can build upon their own islands and reap an abundance of resources.
  • Players can roll dice to move across their own islands. After rolling the dice, players can walk the corresponding amount of steps shown on the dice, and build structures on the adjoining tiles.
  • Players shall receive 6 dice rolls every 12 hours, but no more than a total of 30 dice rolls can be accumulated.
  • Players may construct up to 4 Resource buildings, from which they can obtain the resources they want.
  • Players may construct up to 14 Defensive buildings to help defend against other players pillaging their island.
  • Building upon the island provides Island Experience, which can be used to raise the island’s Island Level, unlocking the corresponding reward in the process.
  • Functional Buildings cannot be upgraded, however, special rewards can be acquired from these buildings when a player lands upon them.

Morale[]

With the morale mechanic, players can increase their morale by building structures on their islands. Having high morale grants grants additional rewards to Pillagers.

Assistance[]

Island Assistance

Assist your friends and guildmates.

  • Players can provide friends/Guildmates with aid by garrisoning their own heroes in their friend's Resource buildings.
  • Players can create 3 teams with which they can help their allies. Players can also simultaneously place heroes that are already garrisoning their own buildings in their friends' buildings, but 1 hero may only be placed in 1 allied garrisoned formation at a time.
  • Players cannot garrison the same team to help the same ally more than once.
  • Players may dispatch a total of 6 teams to aid their allies, and can view these teams via their Log.
  • Players may withdraw heroes that are garrisoned on their allies islands, and can also remove teams placed in their own buildings by other players.

Pillaging[]

Island Pillaging

A potential pillaging target.

By pillaging other islands, players can steal the resources there for themselves. This is especially easy if the target island hasn't had any heroes assigned to protect its resources, allowing for these resources to be taken without a fight. Players have the opportunity to refresh the target island up to 5 times, meaning that the player can choose to refresh until they find an undefended target island that makes for an easy victory. Otherwise, the player will have to defeat any heroes that their opponent has stationed at their Resource Buildings.

Players have 2 pillaging chances per day, although this can be increased by landing on the shipyard tile on your own island.

Buildings[]

Island Building

Pick a tile to place a building on.

There are two different types of buildings that players can place on their island: Resource Buildings and Defensive Buildings. Players may place 4 building of the Resource type and 14 of the Defensive type, resulting in a total of 18 buildings to be placed upon the player's island. (This does not count the Functional Buildings).

Whenever the player lands on a corresponding tile for a building, they may choose to upgrade it to enhance its effects.

Confinement[]

Confined Heroes

When Resource buildings reach level 5, one hero can be confined (at level 10, this is increased to 2 heroes). This means that players can select a specific hero to ban from battle.

For example, players may choose to ban Ainz. If an attacking player happens to have Ainz in their formation, he will be banned from the battle on that specific Resource building.

This feature has since been removed.

Construction[]

  • After each roll of the dice, the player can only select the adjoining tile to build upon once.
  • Players can construct 2 types of buildings: Resource Buildings and Defensive buildings. 4 different types of Resource Buildings can be constructed, as well as 14 Defensive type buildings. Each type of Resource Building may only be constructed once.
  • Players are able to upgrade buildings. They are also able to move and rebuild buildings via the "Modify" feature.
  • Buildings' effects grow stronger, the higher their levels increase. Reaching certain levels unlocks additional effects.

Functional Buildings[]

Every players will automatically have Functional Buildings on their island. These buildings provide various bonuses when their tiles are landed on. Unlike Defensive and Resource buildings, Functional buildings cannot be upgraded - their bonuses are set. Furthermore, pillagers cannot trigger the effects of Functional buildings even if they happen to land on their tile.

The types of Functional Buildings are as follows:

Resource Buildings[]

  • Resource buildings produce resources every hour. The quantity of resources produced by the building is determined by the player’s campaign progression at the time of unlocking the Isle of Gold event.
  • Resource buildings may be pillaged by invading pillagers. If a Resource building is successfully pillaged, it will cease producing resources for 1 hour.
  • Players are able to garrison defensive forces within Resource buildings. Invading pillagers must first defeat the defensive forces before they are able to pillage the resources it has.

[Build one Resource building]

Raine: Wait a sec, you can't just leave this newly constructed building empty, that just won't do! From a defensive standpoint, it'd be wise to dispatch garrison some defensive forces here, don't you think?

Previous Version[]

[Start Event]

Raine: Hey! Have you heard the news? The islands off of the Aranti gulf! They're full of great treasures. Well, you're not too late, but you're not that early either!

But brace yourself. A lot of crazed people are on the search for the infamous Hodgkin's "hidden treasure". The legend says, wherever the "Dead Fleet" appears, there is sure to be great treasures not far off. So you can understand why people are so interested. Haha! Don't worry! This'll be your territory! Of course, there are still many preparations to be made.

[Build first Building]

Raine: Beautiful! That's it! If you plan on getting rich, you need not only work hard, you must also keep your wits about you! There are good and bad people here, but they have on thing in common - greed. Thus, Defensive and Resource buildings are a must. Be aware, the resources on this land are limited. You can only build 9 types of Resource buildings and 9 types of Defensive buildings. Oh, I forgot to mention! Resource buildings cannot be rebuilt, so choose wisely.

Alright, I'm pretty busy so I'll be on my way. But I'm sure we'll be filthy rich soon!

[Reach island level 2]

Raine: Just as I'd expected, great job! I like what you've done with the place, very orderly indeed. I bring good news. Construction on our Shipyard is complete! Quickly, prepare to set sail! But before you leave, don't forget to garrison your buildings with defensive forces. It's time to take a peek at other people's islands!

[Pillage an undefended island]

Raine: Hmm, this territory is ripe for the picking. An abundance of riches, yet no defensive measures! I mean, she's practically inviting us to "look after" her treasures, isn't she? We must move swiftly! In total we have 6 chances. All we have to do is stop next to a Resource building, and we'll be able to pillage the resources it produces. However, if a building is garrisoned with defensive forces, unfortunately we'll have to overcome them before we can take the prize.
